Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy or ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry (UV-Vis or UV/Vis) refers to a technique used to quantify the light that is absorbed and/or scattered by a sample in the ultraviolet-visible spectral region. The characterization of a samples optical properties is useful for many applications. Primarily, the technique is used to determine the concentration of a particular compound or molecule in a solvent or film.
Please provide at least 5ml of the sample with the compound or molecule of interest dispersed in a solvent, along with 5ml of the solvent without the compound to be used as a blank.
Only solvent based samples are measured at this time. Include detailed material composition in the sample submission form. Questions on how to prepare your samples? We can help. Please contact us for assistance.
